What is my issue with renting?

You are forced to access the land or die.

You can read a version of this text which is easier to understand when I have time to repost a version of this text which is easier to understand.

Suppose there exists a world where reproductive attractiveness is the most important to an individual.

Parents prioritize the needs of their children over everyone else.

People who aren't parents prioritize finding a reproductive relationship over everyone else.

These reproductive relationships are formed by a person's physical force ranking.

Some people work together (e.g., in a tribe or government) in a competence hierarchy to increase the physical force of the group so they are more powerful than any individual.

These individuals attack people outside their group (e.g., with a tribal mentality) and take those people's lives or resources with physical force.

So, any person can be tied to their reproductive relationship(s) ["connections"] or actions to manage these relationships ["efforts"].

  • So, a person with a family in a famine makes an effort to raid outgroups when supplies are low.
  • So, a person with a family in a famine makes an effort to increase farm output with less energy.
  • So, the person with the family feeds their family because their family needs food.

You can identify a group which controls physical force with their decisions to manage their reproductive relationships.

So, there is a group who controls physical force with decisions (i.e decisionmakers).

So, there is a group who is the physical force and enforces each decision (i.e enforcement).

The decisionmakers make it illegal to sleep on land you do not own. You are forcibly removed when you do not comply.

The decisionmakers create a virtual object used to claim ownership of land and distribute it when you work for them.

The decisionmakers use force to enforce the rules on sleeping and the usage of the virtual object for land ownership.

The decisonmakers evaluate the land every year and require you to pay them the virtual object based on your land's value.

So, you are required by force to work for the virtual object to claim ownership of land you can sleep on.

So, you are required by force to continue working for the land you "own".

So, you are required by force to work.

Otherwise, you do not sleep. You die.

A person who does not own land must rely on other people who let them live on their land.

.

A person in a family does not have to pay to live on their land. However, the family must still pay the government to maintain ownership over the land.

Someone always has to work.

.

A person who is not dependent must pay people to live on their land.

This creates the following structure:

  • Government owns the land and enforces the claim of ownership to the owner.
  • Owner claims ownership of the land and grants access to the person (for whatever reason).
  • Person has access to the land.

The owner may be too busy to manage the transaction with the person so they hire a "property manager"to manage the transaction for them.

This creates the following structure:

  • Government owns the land and enforces the claim of ownership to the owner.
  • Owner claims ownership of the land and grants access to the property manager (for whatever reason).
  • Property Manager has access to the land and grants access to the person.
  • Person has access to the land.

So, the government owns the land. The "owner" (i.e landlord) and property manager are middle managers. The person accesses the land.

Suppose your government operates under ideals of capitalism; but not every tenet.

The owner buys land to make a profit.

The property manager manages the access to make a profit.

So, the person should access the land to make a profit; not comfort.

The government adds additional rules on access to sleep on land.

  • A person is fined $500 per day when enforcement finds them sleeping on land owned by the government (public land).
  • A person is told to move when a "land owner" tells enforcement to get the person to stop sleeping on land owned by the "land owner" (private land).

So, the price ceiling of access to land is $500 per day when everyone follows the rules.

This example assumes everyone follows the rules.

Land is not created or destroyed. So, land approaches the price ceiling over time.

The person may be forced to access the land at this price ($500 per day) without a profit because sleep is a human need.

The person be forced to access the land at any price without profit (e.g., $30 per day when the person has no job) because sleep is a human need.

What is my issue with renting?

You are forced to access the land at any price without profit.

Otherwise, you die.

Who is forced?

Any person without a family (e.g., single orphans, single abused, etc) and a lack of physical force against enforcement.

Why are they forced?

They follow the rules and are physically weak.

What should these people do?

You tell me.

What is my issue with renting from a landlord at the current market rate in america?

current market rate in america involves contracts which does not require the landlord to uphold their promises in agreements.

tldr; a landlord can show you a noiseless unit with no pests or dirt and sign a contract where you pay them over a set amount of time on the basis of this unit. You are always required to pay them but they do not have to uphold the standard of the unit.

you are enforced to pay them and are removed from the unit when you do not pay.

the landlord is not required to maintain the standard of the unit you agreed upon which lets them do things like

  • move noisy families in next you
  • shut off your water for whatever reasons due to these people
  • let people who dont pay rent on time damage your lungs with smoke
  • or anything really; provided you have access to the unit

and there really is no precedents to seek damages causaed by noise or smokes despite their being evidence that

  • noise pollution causes issues with productivity and sleep which is a human need
  • smoking causing cancers which result in medical bills

and basically every problem a landlord has or caused
they make you pay for it.

so, why would you agree to that?

maybe it would be better if you caused problems
and made other people pay for it
